I hear that the first step in over coming an addiction is to admit that you're addicted. Well...I'm addicted. To posty notes. Yep, those little sticky sheets of paper. I'm not sure that I realized this was an addiction until I stepped into the classroom full time. I have sticky notes everywhere!
In the books.
On grade papers.
On papers to be graded.
Notes to myself.
Things I need to get done for the day.
Addresses and phone numbers.
Oh and did I mention that I'm a perfectionist about most things? If a word is misspelled (lets get serious...it usually is) I'll rip off the top note and I just can't describe the feelings that coarse through me when I think about that whole 4x4 space that is mine to use.
And my family is very supportive of my habit. For Christmas I got about four sticky note sets. Apple, S, shoe shaped ones. Ones that have cute little sayings on them. The kind that pharmaceutical reps give out (thanks Aunt D!). Anyway, at least I'm stocked up.
I need help.

Hi, my name is Trina, and I am a sticky note addict. I first realized I had a problem when I was sitting down at my desk with this small yellow pad thinking up reasons to use it, when...well...there just wasn't one. I also can't stand for it to be anything but perfect too. There must be a help group for us somewhere....lol.
Before sticky notes I'll bet ya got tired of ink stains in the palm of your hands huh?

oh my God me too!! I have a mini-collection!! My friend even sent me a new set for when I was doing my thesis.. luminous pink ones with little heart perforations! I don't know why I love using them either, they just make me happy. I get a kind of silent kick when I get to tear off a used one and a nice clean one appears before me.. ahhhhh!
Hmmm...Mike...our sponsor? I just don't see him keeping a straight face.

Yeah, I'll wear them. But they have to be bright yellow or pink, and if the collar or waistband can be sticky, all the better.
